There are so many comfortable computer chairs available in the market that one only has to step into an office furniture store or visit online websites to see the complete range available. Of all chairs one can find, the best no doubt for the office is the high back office chair comes with many benefits like the ergonomic benefit, the comfort, the style, and last but not least the professional look it gives any office and the person with the authority to sit in it.
Usually, it’s only the management and executives in any office that are rewarded with a high back office chair while all others have to sit in chairs that are smaller, cheaper and more uncomfortable. We hear so much about surveys being carried out and research conducted over the years saying how most of the recurring back problems that people suffer from are due to long-term bad seating arrangements.
There are questionnaires that ask you whether you are comfortable in your office chair, how good it is for your neck and back etc. What all these surveys don’t tell us is how we can get to sit in a high back office chair if we not on the executive level.
High back office chairs are no doubt very comfortable and manufactured to give a great amount of support for the person sitting in it. Ergonomics has been a great influence on the making of these chairs, which are made to prevent back injury, neck sprain, and other health concerns that could develop even later on in life if the chairs used for office work have not given the worker the correct support.
Technology being able to improve everything, even the high back office chairs now can be bought with added features such as heating systems, massaging devices and other components that makes the office chair look like something from outer space.
My plaintive plea is that someone comes up with a non-executive high back office chair that is made according to the same specifications, but looks less ostentatious so that the lesser mortals too could work comfortably, without back sprain and neck injuries. Not being an executive does not mean our backs are immune to all these problems, now does it?
Maybe the normal high back office chair could be less high, less adjustable and without any of the gimmicks but with the necessary ergonomics to give everyone in the office a comfortable chair that would help them to carry out their work without pain or strain, just like the executives.
